Johnson County Food Pantry Distribution
The Red Shield Center in Johnson County can use a few volunteers on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays to help prepare and distribute boxes of food, drink, and hygiene products. Some lifting of food boxes and canned goods will be required. Volunteers will potentially be assisting with donation sorting as well.
Volunteer shifts will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12:30pm-3pm. Each shift will require about 1-2 volunteers. Minors age 6-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and all volunteers must be able to complete the required tasks.
Due to COVID-19 safety measures, clients will remain in their vehicles when picking up food boxes, limiting contact between volunteers and clients. Masks, gloves, and sanitizer will be used in the facility as well during your shift.
