eLearning Facilitators

Due to many Indianapolis schools beginning the fall semester fully virtual, The Mind Trust is working to support students enrolled in K-12 by providing them with a safe place to engage in e-learning at a community partner site. The Mind Trust is looking to recruit a group of e-Learning Facilitators to work alongside the staff of our community partners to meet the needs of their Site’s learners. We are looking for adults ages 18 or older who are: 

  • Passionate about working with youth

  • Comfortable with a variety of technology platforms (or a willingness to learn them)

  • Able to support students in problem solving

Primary instruction will be planned and delivered by the students assigned teacher(s) at their assigned school. The primary goals of eLearning Facilitators will be to:

  • Provide a safe learning environment for students, including supporting with wellness/health screenings;

  • Support students in maintaining a safe learning environment by following safety protocols established by the site-based supervisor;

  • Supervise students during online instruction answering questions and providing technology support, as necessary;

  • Support students’ social-emotional needs, including building and fostering relationships with students;

  • Provide oversight during non-instructional times including recess, breaks, lunchtime, and aftercare;

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate aftercare activities, if applicable;

  • Communicate and advocate on behalf of the students with site-based supervisor; and

  • Follow all policies and procedures as outlined by the site.​

Application Process

  1. Interested applicants will be asked to submit a resume, answer a series of short-answer questions and provide permission to complete a background check. 

  2. Candidates resumes will be reviewed and candidates will be asked to complete a limited criminal background check form* and a phone interview.

  3. Candidates will be notified when all steps have been completed and will be added to a hiring pool. Using candidate interest forms, staff will match qualified candidates with a respective CLS organization looking to hire an eLearning Facilitator. Being added to the hiring pool does not guarantee that a Facilitator will be hired by a site.

  4. If hired, facilitators will complete additional steps with the organization they are matched with/hired by including but not limited to a “National Criminal History Check”. 

*NOTE: Fees associated with a National Criminal History Check will be reimbursed by The Mind Trust and will not be the applicant’s responsibility.
